Chivas USA midfielder Atiba Harris headed in a late goal off a corner kick to give the Red-and-White a 1-1 tie against San Luis in SuperLiga 2009 at The Home Depot Center. Chivas USA, who had been eliminated from the tournament earlier on Saturday night by virtue of Tigres UANL’s 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire, played spoiler, keeping San Luis from the semifinals of the tournament with the tie. The Chicago Fire and Tigres UANL advanced out of Group A, each with six points, ahead of San Luis (4 points) and Chivas USA (1 point).
San Luis’ only goal of the match came on an Alfredo Moreno penalty kick, which followed a foul in the box by Chivas USA goalkeeper Lance Parker. Parker made his first appearance of the season, and second of his career (both in SuperLiga), replacing Zach Thornton at halftime.
Chivas USA midfielder Cesar Zamora, signed on May 28, 2009 from the Chivas USA U-18 Team, played in his first-ever professional match, entering the match as a 61st minute substitute for Carey Talley.

The game will be broadcast live online on USL Live, at http://www.usllive.com/. The team will then be off until the July 11 Honda Super Clásico against the LA Galaxy.
