El capitán y defensa de Chivas USA Claudio Suárez no estará con el equipo que viajará a Dallas.
Suárez fue notificado en la madrugada del viernes, tiempo de Los Ángeles, sobre el fallecimiento de su padre, Vicente Suárez, a la edad de 75 años, aparentemente causado por un problema cardíaco.
Suárez padre falleció en su casa en Texcoco, México, donde había sufrido complicaciones en los riñones desde enero.
Claudio Suárez planeaba en viajar de Los Ángeles a la Ciudad de México este viernes. Los servicios fúnebres serán realizados en los próximos días en Texcoco, a las afueras de la Ciudad de México.
Vicente Suárez deja una familia de nueve hijos, incluyendo Claudio, y su esposa Francisca Sánchez.
Chivas USA extiende sus condolencias a la familia Suárez y espera que puedan encontrar alivio en este momento tan difícil. Que en paz descanse.
Absent from Chivas USA’s travel party to Dallas will be Chivas USA captain and defender Claudio Suárez.
Suárez learned in the early hours of Friday morning, Los Angeles time, of the passing away of his father, Vicente Suárez, at the age of 75, from apparent heart failure.
The elder Suárez died at the family home in Texcoco, Mexico, where he had been convalescent since January following kidney failure-related complications.
Claudio Suárez was expected to fly from Los Angeles to Mexico City on Friday afternoon. Funeral services were planned for the coming days in Texcoco, located on the outskirts of Mexico City.
Vicente Suárez is survived by his wife, Francisca Sánchez, and their nine children, including Claudio.
