Chivas USA kicks off its campaign in the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League tonight in Panama City, where the Red-and-White will square off against Tauro F.C. of the Panamanian first division. The match kicks off at 5:00 p.m. PT (7:00 p.m. CT) and will be broadcast LIVE on Galavision, and tape-delayed on Fox Soccer Channel at 7:00 p.m. PT. The 24-team Champions League is in the Preliminary Round, where 16 teams will vie for spots in the Group Stage of the tournament by playing a home-and-home series against another club; the team that scores more goals in the two matches will advance. If Chivas USA defeats Tauro F.C., it will advance to a group that includes Santos Laguna of Mexico, Municipal of Guatemala, and the winner of the Preliminary Round matchup between LD Alajuelense of Costa Rica and the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division.
