Chivas USA travels tomorrow to San Jose, carrying a three-match winning streak and with five wins in the past six games. With a victory and the help of other results, the Red-and-White (11-10-6, 39 pts), could guarantee a spot in the MLS Cup Playoffs. However, forwards Ante Razov and Maykel Galindo are still recovering from their injuries and midfielder Dejair did not train with the rest of the team this week. Carey Talley practiced with the Reserves on Thursday but is still recovering from a concussion.
“We have never made excuses about injuries,” said Jesse Marsch today. “We never even talk about it much, because it’s not important. What is important is the team that is on the field and how the team prepares with the 18 guys that are traveling. I think we are ready to go, with Dejair and Sasha Victorine, I think we have more options.”
In addition, Chivas USA will play without Sacha Kljestan (United States) and Shavar Thomas (Jamaica), both on international duty.
